Beat Wisconsin at its own game

Tarris Reed has started to come into his own in recent weeks. The freshman big man was actually ranked higher than Jett Howard in the rankings and we can see why.

Reed dominated against Michigan State with 10 rebounds, eight points, three blocks, and two steals. He was also solid in 14 minutes against Rutgers with two points, four boards, a block, and a steal.

With the way that Wisconsin posts up and uses its own combination of big lineups, especially with Steven Crowl and Tyler Wahl, it would make sense for Reed to see closer to 20 minutes.

Wisconsin wants to make you defend post-ups and so does Michigan basketball. The Wolverines have been effective with Dickinson and Reed on the floor and I’d love to see the Wolverines use that lineup a lot on Sunday, pound the ball inside, and bully the Badgers with the two-big lineup.

Juwan Howard said this week that Reed was “just scratching the surface” of what he can become and that’s totally true. But Tarris can make a big impact on the game Sunday and he’s an X-factor for me in this matchup for U-M.
