Have to get a quarterback in 2024

One of the biggest failures in the 2023 class was missing out on Dante Moore. The 5-star quarterback that was from Detroit wound up at UCLA and it’s still baffling.

Clearly, there were some factors beyond Michigan football’s control, but Jim Harbaugh also didn’t seem to go all-in with Moore, despite the fact that the Wolverines didn’t offer another QB.

Brady Drogosh was a four-star recruit in the 2023 class and the Wolverines never offered him either or seriously recruited any 2023 QB. After missing out on Moore, the focus shifted to Jadyn Davis and the Wolverines are still using the all-eggs-in-one-basket approach.

Davis keeps delaying his decision and just took a visit to North Carolina. Ohio State is trying to get involved too and it’s time for Michigan to lock up a commitment or move on to other QB targets.

The Wolverines don’t have someone in line to take over for McCarthy outside of former walk-on Davis Warren, so landing a top-100 level QB is a must in 2024, especially since Moore and CJ Carr were five-stars from Michigan that won’t be going to Michigan.
