Michigan football did work in the trenches

One thing I really like about Michigan football’s 2023 recruiting class is the work that the Wolverines did on the offensive and defensive lines.

Michigan only signed three offensive linemen but they are all really quality prospects. Amir Herring is going to be a multi-year starter for the Wolverines. I just know that in my bones. He’s a top-200 player in my book and one of many who will play better than this ranking suggests.

Nathan Efobi is another really solid get and a guy is viewed as a top-125 talent according to the On3 rankings system. Evan Link is a really solid tackle prospect too and Sherrone Moore continues to recruit as well as anyone on the Michigan football coaching staff.

The D-line haul is underrated too. I’ve said it before, but I love Aymeric Koumba. He’s going to be an NFL draft pick someday and Enow Etta is also going to be a stud. Cameron Brandt is another guy with upside who had 7.5 sacks as a senior in a tough league.

Roderick Pierce was another really good addition late and at least in the trenches, Michigan did a solid job of landing blue-chip prospects.
