New Orleans Saints QB coach Ronald Curry

A former seventh-round pick at WR out of North Carolina, Curry was selected by the Oakland Raiders in 2002, putting him on the same team as then QB coach Jim Harbaugh for two seasons.

Curry played for Oakland for several more seasons after that before jumping into coaching, getting his start under none other than Jim Harbaugh, and becoming an offensive assistant for the San Francisco 49ers in 2014.

However, Curry stayed in the NFL ranks, eventually joining Sean Payton’s Saints staff in 2016, and working his way up to a promotion to QB coach in 2021 after working as a WR coach for several seasons.

With the Saints losing Drew Brees having just retired, Curry was tasked with the challenging job of replacing him. However, he helped guide QBs Trevor Siemian (11 touchdowns to 3 interceptions) and Jameis Winston (14 touchdowns to 3 interceptions) to some of their most efficient football throughout their careers. He’s extended that streak of helping lower-end QBs play historically efficient football again in 2022, doing similarly with former Bengals starter Andy Dalton.

Curry has no college coaching experience, but does have some very intriguing experience as a QB coach, and has clear connections to Jim Harbaugh.
