2. Gemon Green

Earlier in the year, I would have put Will Johnson in this spot. After all, he’ll probably be tasked with covering TCU’s star receiver Quentin Johnson.

However, after a great game matched up against a few of Ohio State’s monster receivers, I’m confident Johnson will be up for the challenge in the Fiesta Bowl.

Gemon Green hasn’t been tested as much, and he’ll likely be slotted against Savion Williams, a 6’5” receiver the Horned Frogs love to get the ball to. With a seven-inch height advantage over DJ Turner, Green will have his work cut out for him.

Green could very well rise to the challenge though. He’s seen a lot of snaps the past two years and was solidly the Wolverines’ CB2 before getting hurt in the tunnel after the Michigan State game. He’s had to defend tough receivers before and has prevailed in the past. His ability to do so again could determine how well Michigan can shut down TCU’s pass game.
