Sure, the college and pro game are two different styles and each has its own quirks to them, but the principle remains: playoff situations are hard to prepare for if you’ve never been there before.

Fortunately for Michigan, Jim Harbaugh made his living in the NFL being an excellent coach in the playoffs and adjusting in tense situations when everything was on the line.

You can’t replicate that experience no matter how hard you try.

Harbaugh has coached this Wolverine squad with a playoff mindset all year with the “one game at a time approach” and it’s paid off. When it comes to post-season play, the man knows what he’s doing.
