2. Purdue’s offense still gained 456 yards on Michigan’s defense

Newsflash! This doesn’t matter when you win. They kept the Boilermakers out of the endzone enough to outscore them.

Purdue’s offense has always been a tough task to deal with and that won’t change as long as Jeff Brohm is there. That makes this an overreaction to not get too worried about.

Purdue’s offense is 17th in the nation in passing yards for a reason. They can air it out whenever they want. Aidan O’Connell threw for 366 which is more than C.J. Stroud did a week ago. He found Charlie Jones 13 times in soft spots across the defense. Jones had more yardage than Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka did respectively last Saturday in Columbus.

The Buckeyes managed 492 yards of offense on Michigan’s defense. So this is certainly something to keep a close eye on as we enter the playoffs.

TCU can put points on the board and has a well-balanced offense, but hasn’t matched up with a defense like Michigan’s all season long. Kansas State has given Michigan the blueprint on how to take down the Horned Frogs.
