2. Hunter Dickinson has to be second-guessing his NBA decision
The seven-footer has been doing typical things that we have expected of him up to this point. He’s leading Michigan basketball in scoring and is a menace to defend on a nightly basis. He’s not getting that consistent help that he desperately needs for Michigan to get back in the winning column though. He can only do so much that he can’t win games by himself.
Jett Howard is still figuring out his potential and no one else has helped the big man out yet. They are now experiencing the loss of guys like Caleb Houstan, Moussa Diabate, and especially Eli Brooks. Howard is the go-to guy in clutch situations, but he’s not ready yet and his teammates are not pulling their weight either.
So much of what Michigan does offensively is predicated on getting Hunter Dickinson the ball inside. Their offense has a tendency to stall out though as everyone just watches him work. Kentucky should actively help off everyone besides #13 Howard & #15 Baker then closeout short.

Dickinson is a better college player and made the correct decision not to go undrafted in the summer draft. There’s not much more that Michigan can get out of him because he’s proven it already. Howard can be the one who takes the pressure off him if he can somehow put it all together, but that’s asking a lot of him to do.
