Michigan Football: 3 Keys for Wolverines against Ohio State
By Josh LaFond
Play mistake-free football on offense
Don’t give Ohio State any handouts.
That’s the message that Jim Harbaugh needs to beat into J.J. McCarthy’s head this week — and no doubt he already has.
Listen, we all know how potent the Buckeye offense is. They can score in bunches and love to capitalize on turnovers and big plays made by their defense.
The last thing Michigan football needs to see happen on Saturday is for McCarthy and the Wolverine offense to turn the ball over, make errant plays resulting in big losses, and miss the big plays when they’re available.
Michigan isn’t built to play from behind. They’re built to win a rock fight, and if you want to win this rock fight, don’t give the other guy a slingshot.
If the Wolverines can play their a-game in a similar vein as what we saw earlier this season in a dominating performance against Penn State this one will go the right way for them.
Here’s to hoping McCarthy and the Michigan offense have their best performance of the season. They’re going to need it.
