5 predictions for Michigan Football against Illinois
C.J. Stokes has another good performance
Michigan football is going to need more than one running back to play a key role on Saturday and while Donovan Edwards is expected to play, his workload might be somewhat limited.
That’s where C.J. Stokes comes in. Stokes had eight carries for 68 yards last week and a long run of 17 yards. He’s run the ball well this season but he was in the dog house a little after an early-season fumble.
Corum could probably carry the ball 30 times in each of the next two weeks, but it would be nice to see Stokes get more rushing attempts. I’m going to say that Michigan football gets over 200 rushing yards total and Stokes will get at least 50 for the second straight week.
I also think he’ll break off a run over 20.
Michigan football vs Illinois score prediction
This will be a good test for the Michigan football running game but it hasn’t been stopped all season and I don’t see it starting Saturday. Michigan will need balance but I think McCarthy plays well and the defense gets the job done in the red zone, winning the game 34-13.
