Michigan Football vs. Illinois: Five Questions for the Wolverines
Can Michigan stop Chase Brown?
Michigan hasn’t really faced any really good running backs this season aside from Penn State’s Nicholas Singleton, but Illinois’ Chase Brown is a different type of beast.
Chase Brown is the only comparable running back in the conference (maybe besides Mo Ibrahim) to Blake Corum.
Chase Brown leads the country in rushing yards, but he’s had 53 more carries than Blake Corum and is only outpacing Blake by 93 yards.
Also, Chase Brown is currently dealing with an injury sustained lag in last week’s loss to Purdue. I still expect Chase Brown to play, but I don’t think he’ll be 100%.
If Michigan can slow down Chase Brown, Blake Corum would have a chance to surpass Chase in rushing yards in this game. Now, wouldn’t that be kind of hilarious?
