Michigan football dominated Nebraska on Saturday and here are five things we learned from the Wolverines’ 10th-straight win.

It might have been a bit boring and it might not win any beauty contests, but Michigan football utterly dominated Nebraska from start to finish.

The offensive and defensive lines completely overwhelmed Nebraska. The offense rushed for 264 yards and Blake Corum basically sat the entire fourth quarter after getting 28 carries for 164 yards.

With a couple of backups in the game, it really didn’t matter. This offensive line legitimately goes 9-10 deep and there are frankly, second and third-team All-Big Ten caliber linemen just hanging out waiting for playing time in Ann Arbor.

Ryan Hayes returned and the Wolverines essentially put Nebraska through the meat grinder. Their QB was knocked out of the game and only once did the Huskers move the ball inside Michigan’s 30.

It was a dominant effort. The quarterback play could have been better and we’ll get to that, but enjoy the first 10-0 start in 16 years, Michigan football fans.

This team and this program are doing something special and here are five things we learned from the Wolverines’ 22nd win in their last 24 games.

The nasty play of the O-line is a sight to behold

Some might call it boring. I call it beautiful. Michigan probably didn’t even need to pass to beat Nebraska. J.J. McCarthy threw for only 126 yards and a touchdown (ran for another) on a rainy day in Ann Arbor but he didn’t make any mistakes and made plays with his feet when needed.

The game, as with most of Michigan’s win this season, was won in the trenches. Michigan football ran the ball 43 times for 264 yards. Nebraska sacked McCarthy a couple of times, but the offense picked up 27 first downs and possessed the ball for 35 minutes.

It was utter domination up front and there isn’t an offensive line in the country that’s playing as well as the Wolverines.
