2. Jim Harbaugh and crew care what about the supporters think

This is an untrue statement and an obvious overreaction. No coach that I can think of cares what the naysayers have to say about how they win or lose.

Winning should cure-all, but that’s not always the case. Losing places doubt and criticism is warranted, but not when you’re 10-0 and have been clamoring for years to be in this precious position.

Coaches don’t read the newspapers, go on social media and cry, and don’t listen to people whining on sports radio. They have too much of a burden on their hands to stay the course and keep winning, as in Michigan’s case. It’s not a cushiony job, especially when you’re losing and everybody wants your head on a stake.

Harbaugh and his crew have done an illustrious job turning this program around into a national power and title contender. He was always the right man for the gig and has proven it to the ones who thought he should be fired two years ago. Hats off to Warde Manuel for believing in that and letting Harbaugh remain to shove it in the face of all of his doubters.
