5 predictions for Michigan Football vs Nebraska
Michigan football welcomes Nebraska to the Big House on Saturday and here are five predictions for the Wolverines and the Huskers.
Last year, when Michigan football and Nebraska met in Lincoln, the game went down to the wire as the Wolverines avoided an upset with a late Jake Moody field goal.
The game in Ann Arbor isn’t expected to be anywhere near as close. The Huskers are a four-touchdown underdog and are 3-6. Michigan is 9-0 and looking to guarantee the final game against Ohio State is for the Big Ten East title.
A win on Saturday would do that. It would also be the first 10-0 start of Jim Harbaugh’s career with the Wolverines. He has started 7-0 three times and 9-0 twice.
Here are five predictions for Michigan football vs Nebraska.
J.J. McCarthy throws for 250 and two touchdowns
It’s hard to predict a 300-yard game for J.J. McCarthy. He’s been a little off on deep passes and the Wolverines have been much more invested in the running game.
Nebraska hasn’t been great against the run all season, but the Huskers have held their own against Illinois and Minnesota the past two weeks. They held both Chase Brown and Mo Ibrahim to less than five yards per attempt but each got over 132 yards.
Michigan will stick with the running game, but I also think this would be a great opportunity for McCarthy to build some confidence. He played well in the second half last week with two touchdown passes and I think he builds on that.
I see him throwing two touchdowns and connecting on at least one deep ball. Andrel Anthony is due and this week, it finally happens.
