Another good night from beyond the arc
The Wolverines hit nine 3-pointers in the season opener against Purdue Fort Wayne and Michigan didn’t even shoot that well outside of Jett Howard and Joey Baker who combined for eight triples.
Baker really feels like an underrated addition. Not everyone is going to start at Duke but he was a reliable shooter and if he shoots the way he did Monday, this team will be dangerous.
Eastern Michigan allowed eight 3-pointers in his season-opening win on 24 attempts. Their defense didn’t defend two-point shots well either. Dickinson should dominate and that will lead to some open looks for others.
Baker and Howard won’t hit eight combined treys. But as a team, with more contributions from Terrance Williams, Kobe Bufkin, and Llewellyn, I can see Michigan basketball hitting 10 total.

The Wolveirnes are an 18.5-point favorite according to FanDuel and I see the Wolverines covering the spread tonight. Bates will have some moments and he’ll score some points but the Eagles are going to struggle to slow down guarding Dickinson and I think Kobe Bufkin has a breakout game.
Bufkin was really close the other night. Some shots didn’t fall but I liked his aggressiveness and it’s only a matter of time before he has a 15-20 point game. My guess is tonight as the Wolverines win 85-65 or something like that.
