3 Keys to Michigan football beating Nebraska
By Josh LaFond
Give these receivers the chance to make a play
Michigan football has a ton of talent in the wide receiver room. We know the usual suspects; Ronnie Bell, Cornelius Johnson, and Roman Wilson.
But there’s a ton of talent behind them in guys like Andrel Anthony, Tyler Morris, Amorion Walker, Darius Clemons and others. And it’s time to give these guys a chance to make a play in a game where they should be leading comfortably, and can build confidence before dates with the Illini’ and Buckeyes.
Sure, Michigan doesn’t need them to win the game, so maybe I’m cheating when it comes to “keys to beating Nebraska” but it still has merit.
This is the last opportunity Michigan has to work out the kinks in their armor. Despite losing to Michigan State — and getting dominated in them for that matter — this is the best Illinois team in quite some time. We all know how big ‘The Game’ is, too.
Those are not games you work out stuff against.
This week is.
Don’t wait until next week to fix the issues in the passing game. Work on them now and give these guys a chance to gain confidence before the most important two-week stretch Michigan has had since 2016.
Give the young talent a chance this week against Nebraska to show you they can contribute when the season is on the line in the next two games.
