2. It was ho-hum again for the Wolverine rushing attack

Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards did their thing like they didn’t skip a beat. Each had an identical 109 yards on the ground and both had a touchdown or two. Corum’s performance wasn’t eye-popping, but it will be enough to keep him in the Heisman running after the day that Hendon Hooker and C.J. Stroud both had respectively.

Edwards topped the list of pass catchers with 52 yards. He averaged 17 yards per catch and seven yards a run. His longest play from scrimmage was 46 yards and he nearly broke to the house. Whenever Corum decides to go pro, Edwards will take over and most certainly be next in line for Heisman candidacy in Harbaugh’s running back-friendly offense.

For the record, Michigan ran for 282, compared to an astonishing 14 yards for Rutgers. Rutgers averaged only 0.7 yards per attempt on just 19 carries and Michigan was missing a handful of starters on defense on Saturday night. Rutgers and Gavin Wimsatt will have better days on offense, but not when they knock pads with one of the best defenses in the country.
