Jesse Minter’s adjustments are no joke

For the third time this season in Big Ten play, Michigan football was able to shut out an opponent for the second half.

Rutgers didn’t move the ball that well in the first half against the Wolverines but it was able to make a couple of big plays down the field. That sort of thing happens but in the second half, the Wolverines dominated on defense as they have all season.

In six Big Ten games, Michigan has only allowed 31 second-half points. That’s all season and in the third quarter of six Big Ten games, U-M has surrendered just three points.

Yes, three points.

Maryland and Iowa both scored 14 points in the fourth quarter but outside of that, the Wolverines have been dominant and in their last four games: Indiana, Penn State, Michigan State, and against Rutgers, the Wolverines have allowed just three second-half points.

It’s safe to say this defense is in good hands for a long time to come, especially with some of the young guys making plays on Saturday night.
