Will Johnson gets his first interception

Five-star freshman Will Johnson is playing better and better each week. When called upon last week to cover Jayden Reed and Keon Coleman, he was stellar last week.

That makes me excited for the game against Ohio State in a few weeks and there’s no doubt that Johnson would play a key role in the win for the Wolverines who will need to play really well in the secondary to slow down that offense.

With all that happened to Gemon Green this week, it wouldn’t be surprising if Johnson got the start and he should dominate.

Rutgers really doesn’t have much talent at the wide receiver position but with a freshman quarterback, you can expect some shots down the field. While targeting Johnson doesn’t seem like a great strategy, I’m sure he’ll get tested and I think he’s due for his first career interception.

Even if that doesn’t happen, I’m completely confident in Johnson starting this week and playing a key role the rest of the way because the 6-foot-3 corner is a star in the making and he will have the best game of his young career on Saturday night.
