The defense dominates

If I was betting on Michigan football this week, I would take the Wolverines to cover the spread as I said earlier this week which is 26 points according to Draft Kings. The over/under is also 45 points and that might not be a bad bet either.

Rutgers has a freshman quarterback and Gavin Wimsatt is going to get the start. He’s only thrown one touchdown pass compared to three interceptions. He’s also completing just 40 percent of his passes, which isn’t a good sign against what has been a really good U-M pass defense.

Wimsatt is talented but he started last week against Minnesota and didn’t score any points. That game was on the road. Younger players usually play better at home but the Wolverines’ defense is going to be a tough matchup.

I don’t see the Scarlet Knights having a ton of success on offense. They are ranked 13th overall in terms of total offense for the Big Ten and I think the defense holds Rutgers to 10 points or less.
