Will Gemon Green play?

Right now, Gemon Green is in concussion protocol. There is a criteria that has to be met for Gemon Green to return to the field on Saturday.

If Gemon can’t go, it’s not the end of the world, as Rutgers isn’t some great team, and Gemon could get an extra week to rest up. It just means that freshman Will Johnson will need to step up in his place.

Will Johnson has been in and out of the lineup for Michigan football and has gotten more and more snaps as the season has gone on.

Rutgers might be his first opportunity to see significant snaps from start to finish of a football game, so hopefully, he is ready because Rutgers might try to pick on him at various points in the game for favorable matchups.

With each game, Johnson’s confidence has seemingly grown, so this game could be his coming-out party of sorts.
