Michigan gets two takeaways

One way to win big games is to sack the quarterback and take the football away. The Spartans have seven interceptions this season with just two from McCarthy this season.

On the other hand, as good as the defense has been, Michigan football hasn’t had much success taking the football away. The Wolverines only have four interceptions in seven games.

However, there have been a number of missed opportunities and dropped interceptions. DJ Turner has missed a few opportunities and it seems like a good time to come up with one or two.

The Wovlerines picked off Thorne twice last season and I think there’s a good chance they get a couple of takeaways against him again.

The pass rush is going to cause some discomfort in the second half especially if the Wolverines get up by 2-3 scores and the running game isn’t working.

Michigan’s defense is due and sometimes with turnovers, it’s getting a lucky bounce or being in the right place at the right time and for once, the Wolverines will get a break and a couple of turnovers.
