Michigan Football: 3 Reasons Wolverines will beat Michigan State
By Josh LaFond
J.J. McCarthy has the talent to take advantage of the Spartan secondary
We talked in the opening of this article about how bad the Michigan State secondary is. And outside of C.J. Stroud and the Ohio State Football passing attack two weeks ago, this will be the best unit they’ve faced to date.
J.J. McCarthy hasn’t been asked to do a lot, but when he’s needed to step up, he has. Just look at his 301-yard game against Indiana — it came when the running game couldn’t get going and the offense relied on him to get the job done.
Expect nothing less from McCarthy this week.
McCarthy is an exceptional talent, and when facing a depleted and horrid secondary on Saturday, he will shine.
