3. Michigan earns its bye week unblemished before the I-96 war commences

Michigan was definitely not caught looking ahead in this one. They had one thing on their minds and that was to take care of the business that was present to them. They got punched in the mouth and proved to the college football world that they are going to be contenders for not only the Big Ten but the national scene as well.

The bye week comes at impeccable timing for a group that needs to heal up and get prepped for Michigan State. Jim Harbaugh’s men are peaking at 7-0 with four more winnable games staring them in the face, before the throwdown in Columbus on Thanksgiving weekend. All three facets of this team are humming as it revs its way toward that date.

Michigan State will come in limping noticeably, but that doesn’t matter in this rivalry. Just like Penn State and everyone that came before them, Michigan knows that Michigan State will bring their A+ game because this tilt means more than others do.
