These are three of the most absurd overreactions from Michigan football’s three touchdown victory over Indiana in Bloomington.

Despite a nervous first half of dismal play and coach Hart having a medical issue, Jim Harbaugh’s group displayed its best half of football in the second to wipe the mats with the Hoosiers. The defense took over and stalled the Hoosiers offense which in turn opened things up for J.J. McCarthy and company to break the tie and win comfortably.

Here are the three biggest overreactions.

1. Having two offensive play callers is making the offense to conservative

There may be some evidence that suggests this is a correct statement, but it has yet to rare its ugly head in a loss for the Wolverines. At times yesterday it looked like Michigan football needed to take the training wheels off of McCarthy if they wanted to best Indiana. That appeared to be the case in the first half with the Hoosiers hanging tough.

McCarthy didn’t throw many deeps balls like he has been in the past weeks, but he really didn’t need to either. It would be a welcoming sight to see though, if he can start clicking with his wideouts on a weekly basis on these exciting throws. Until then he’ll just remain throwing the safe throws for the time being.

Blake Corum didn’t do to much besides a 50 yard scamper on his first carry of the game. Indiana’s defense did a respectable job at not letting him dissect their unit. These things can certainly come back to haunt them when down on the scoreboard, but we haven’t seen that happen to be to dire yet and may not see it until late November.
