The pass rush keeps rolling

Indiana loves to throw the football. The Hoosiers throw as much as any team in the Big Ten. Connor Bazelak can put up some yards and the Hoosiers do have some talented wideouts if they can all play.

D.J. Matthews traveled to Nebraska last week but didn’t end up playing. Leading receiver Cam Camper missed the game due to a non-covid illness but should be back.

That’s important because if guys are having a hard time getting open it’s easier for the pass rush. Even if those guys do play, I think Michigan football will get some sacks.

Indiana is ranked 11th in the Big Ten in sacks against. The Hoosiers allowed three to Nebraska, which had just four in its first four games. That’s a good sign for the Wolverines and a bad for IU.

Tom Allen and his staff will likely try to run the ball and also get it out quickly. Bazelak is a veteran after all. But Mike Morris is coming into his own and so is Eyabi Okie.

I’d love to see some others emerge on the edge but Mason Graham and Mazi Smith are also getting more production on the interior pass rush. I predict at least 3-4 sacks.
