3 keys for Michigan Football against Indiana
By Josh LaFond
Don’t let the Hoosiers hang around
In Michigan’s six wins over Indiana since the start of the Jim Harbaugh era in 2015, the Hoosiers have fought and fought, hanging in there every game it seems.
Out of those 6 wins, four of them have come by 11 points or less, and two of those four were overtime victories where Michigan football nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
The Wolverines can’t let that happen again.
Though I’ve been hard on the Hoosiers in this article (and for good reason, I might add), history dictates that even in a “blowout” Michigan win, the game is always closer than the score indicates in this series.
Michigan needs to come out early, punch the Hoosiers in the mouth, and keep their foot on the gas. Indiana would love nothing more than to hang around, waiting for the right opportunity to pounce and get themselves back in the game.
If there’s an opportunity to run up the score this week, do it. The Hoosiers can’t have even a whiff of a chance in this game. Because if they do, they’ll make it a fight.
