3. Blake Corum is not in the Heisman conversation just yet

This has an overreaction written all over it. The young man has been on fire recently. Two weeks ago he jaunted to the endzone five times. Last week he ran for a career-high and the most rushing yards since Denard Robinson. Now he did it again in one of the toughest places to do it in the nation while matching up with Iowa’s top-tier defense.

Corum is rapidly making a name for himself thanks in part to his world-class offensive line. They are opening holes to burst through and Corum is making the correct reads and cuts to lead the country in rushing touchdowns. What is even more impressive is that he has been running wild without Donovan Edwards in the backfield.

One thing that Michigan football does not want to do is wear him out by giving him 30 carries a week. That’s where having Edwards and C.J. Stokes will help the five-foot-eight do-it-all back.
