The pass rush is a concern

UConn didn’t make it easy for the pass rush to get home. The Huskies did a good job of getting rid of the football and they only attempted 20 passes.

Still over the past two games, Michigan football has gotten just one sack. No one on the team has more than one right now and that’s kind of what we expected going in, although I was hoping a more clear rotation would emerge by now.

It’s clear that Mike Morris, Jaylen Harrell, and Braiden McGregor are among the best pass rushers, along with Eyabi Anoma. Derrick Moore is coming along too and some of it is that the Wolverines are playing so many different guys, that the starters aren’t allowed to finish.

If the first-team defense played the entire game, there would be more than one sack. But Michigan football will face one of the best quarterbacks in Big Ten next week and the pass rush needs to get pressure more consistently.
