The sacks come back

Hawaii did a good job of avoiding sacks last week. It also led to a lot of incompletions and just 2.6 yards per attempt from the Rainbow Warriors.

Zion Turner is a freshman. He’s playing due to the season-ending injury to the starting quarterback Ta’Quan Robinson, the former Penn State quarterback. Turner is a freshman and through three games, he’s got three interceptions.

Freshman quarterbacks also tend to take sacks. They tend to try and delay plays and that can lead to bad decisions. It can also lead to sacks.

Michigan football has a really strong pass rush but it’s coming from a bunch of different guys. No one has more than a single sack yet this season but that will change on Saturday as Mike Morris, Braiden McGregor, and Eybai Anoma will all get home.

Others will too as I can see Michigan finishing with about four sacks total. Right in between the total of the first and second games.
