How many starters will rest because of mild injuries?

It has been reported prior that Karsen Barnhart was banged up heading into Week 1. Well, he came back for Week 2 and got nicked up again. Trevor Keegan also got a little nicked up too.

So did Donovan Edwards. He was actually in a walking boot, but apparently, it’s nothing serious, just precautionary. Harbaugh said Donovan is “working through something” whatever that means (coach speak).

This doesn’t include LB Nikhai Hill-Green still being sidelined with a “soft tissue” injury as mentioned by Jim Harbaugh. The biggest ability is availability for Michigan football, and, if we don’t see many of these players in the UConn game, it’s fine.

Let these guys rest up, get healthy, and get going when Big Ten play starts. There’s no need to risk further injury, as I’m pretty sure Michigan’s second and third-string defense could handily beat UConn. As long as the players come back prior to the Iowa game, it will be fine.
