Others Who Played

Once again, the Wolverines’ quick march to a blowout led to many Wolverines getting into the game. The following players saw significant snaps in this one:

  • LT Jeffrey Persi – While Karsen Barnhart is likely getting the first crack at replacing Hayes next year, Persi’s gotten some very good snaps and flashed a lot of upside in his limited appearances. He’ll be in the mix next fall for the left tackle gig.
  • LG Gio El-Hadi – El-Hadi was inserted for a drive fairly early. It was unclear if his showing was due to a stinger from Keegan, or simply trying to work the promising youngster into the mix more often. He played well, though not as strongly as his borderline start from last week.
  • C Raheem Anderson – The Detroit native got a handful of snaps in this one and looked good at center. Between Anderson and Greg Crippen, Michigan should have a nice competition for its center position next fall.
  • RG Connor Jones – The true freshman saw some snaps late, and had a fairly solid opening debut.
  • RT Tristan Bounds – Easy to see on the field with his huge frame, Bounds had some solid reps in the run game when he entered into the ball game.
