Michigan Football: 3 Reasons Wolverines beat UConn
By Josh LaFond
UConn isn’t talented enough
One of the best Husky players, starting quarterback Ta’Quan Roberson is a former Penn State transfer. Why did he transfer, though?
Because he wasn’t good enough to cut it at Penn State.
That’s no knock on Roberson. Sometimes guys just don’t pan out.
But unfortunately for Roberson, the rest of the Huskies, and the UConn faithful, you need talent to win games. And you especially need talent if you want to come into Michigan Stadium and upset a top-5 team in the nation.
Jim Mora Jr. is in the middle of a rebuild. In fact, the “middle of a rebuild” might be too generous.
Here’s the reality: Mora is in the midst of full on, tear down, build up, start from scratch hellscape with limited resources and a trajectory that might take years to peak.
Maybe Mora’s Huskies develop into a outside threat as a non power-5 team. That being said, there’s one thing I know that’s not a maybe.
Michigan football is too talented to lose, and UConn isn’t talented enough to win.
