These are the three most absurd overreactions from Michigan football’s easy victory over the Rainbow Warriors on Saturday night.

Michigan football waxed Hawaii like they were supposed to do. J.J. McCarthy won the starting quarterback position with relative ease too. The energy and how the team performs are on a level of how you want your club to play if you expect to compete for championships in Ann Arbor when the five-star is on the field.

Here are the three overreactions.

1. The non-conference schedule is causing more harm than good

Critics can say what they want when it comes to Michigan football’s early-season opponents, but they can’t change that now. As weak as it is it still makes this a slight overreaction. Jim Harbaugh and his staff had to find out solutions to the plaguing questions that everyone has been wondering about them heading into 2022.

People were concerned about who would step up in the pass rush department and through two outings that group looks fine. Most knew that it was only a matter of time before McCarthy took over as head signal caller, but it would be fascinating to see what both he and Cade McNamara would do for an encore to 2021.

Colorado State, Hawaii, and UConn are no world-beaters which could be detrimental later in the campaign, but for now the maize and blue have to take advantage of what is currently in front of them. Making every rep count and working on what may ail them, if anything, is what will get them ready for the rest of 2022.
