Michigan Football vs Hawaii: Injury report, live Stream, TV channel and betting preview
It’s almost J.J McCarthy time Michigan football fans and here’s a look at all the key info for Hawaii such as how to watch, the betting preview, live stream, and more.
We all love night games, right?
They can certainly be fun but the worst thing about them is waiting all day. Michigan football fans are chomping at the bit to watch the Wolverines take on the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors on Saturday night but it’s not because of the juicy matchup (Michigan football is a 51-point favorite).
No, this is about J.J. McCarthy, who will be making his first career start for the Wolverines at quarterback.
The battle between McCarthy and Cade McNamara has been a huge topic of conversation and it was last week when Cade said he was surprised by the decision to start McCarthy this week.
McNamara said he had the best camp of his life and he did lead U-M to a Big Ten championship last season and a win over Ohio State. At the same time, this isn’t 2021.
Michigan football has to play the best players if it wants to have any hope of repeating or ever winning a national championship. McCarthy gives Michigan a chance, as long as he can deliver on his promise. Cade also didn’t look improved last week against Colorado State.
Tonight will be his first opportunity to do that and here’s all you need to know including how to watch, stream, and everything else for Michigan football and Hawaii.
Michigan football vs Hawaii Injury report
The Wolverines are a little banged up on the offensive line and we’ll see if either Ryan Hayes or Karsen Barnhart start tonight. It sounds like both guys are ready but against Hawaii, there doesn’t seem to be any reason to rush them back. It feels like Hayes is going to go.
As far as Hawaii, The Wolverine is reporting that Hawaii will be without two of its top three quarterbacks. Brayden Schager started in Week 1 and was injured. He likely won’t play against Michigan football. Neither will Washington State transfer Camron Cooper.
Joey Yellen will get the start. Yellen and Schager have combined for five interceptions and zero touchdowns through the first two games so it might get ugly, especially if Yellen gets hurts.
Michigan football vs Hawaii Odds and Betting Pick Week 2
51.5 points (via WynnBET) is a pretty big spread. There’s no question about that. But Michigan football is one of the best teams in college football and Hawaii is clearly among the worst.
The Wolverines also have a former five-star QB starting at quarterback and looking to prove he should be the full-time starter. I hope the offense is opened up some, especially with five-star QB recruit Jadyn Davis in attendance.
Winning this game should be like taking candy from a baby. I don’t expect a whole lot of resistance but Michigan can’t overlook Hawaii either. If U-M is sloppy, that’s how the game could be closer than expected.
However, Michigan rolls 63-10.
