Michigan Football: 5 predictions for Wolverines against Hawaii
Will Johnson gets redemption
Will Johnson had a pass breakup last week but the five-star cornerback also gave up the only touchdown on a pass into the end zone.
It happens and that’s why you need to have a short memory as a cornerback and safe to say, I’m not worried about No. 2. It’s going to be hard for him to earn a starting job this season with all the guys competing at cornerback, but he’s too good not to play.
He’s got elite size and it just takes time for the game to slow down for freshmen. I don’t know that it will be Saturday but in a lopsided game, Johnson should get tons of snaps and I bet he gets his hand on the ball a couple of times and this time, he’ll make a play.
Prediction for Michigan football vs Hawaii
The spread is pretty huge for Michigan as the Wolverines are favored by 51.5 points. That’s a hefty margin but the Wolverines covered last week against Colorado State and as I explained earlier this week, they are going to cover again.
McCarthy is going to have a huge night. Michigan will own the line of scrimmage and it will be a rout. Hawaii is in a tough spot and the program just isn’t on the same level.
Final score: Michigan 63, Hawaii 10
