Michigan Football: 3 reasons Wolverines will beat Hawaii
By Josh LaFond
Hawaii’s offense is putrid
Through two games against Vanderbilt and Western Kentucky, the Hawaii Warriors have a -6 turnover margin. The margins in those two games? Hold on to your seat.
They have 5 interceptions and 3 fumbles against arguably the worst team in the SEC, and a middling member of Conference USA.
Yikes.
I don’t know about you, but it’s hard for me to envision a scenario where the Warriors exorcize those demons against a top 20 nationally ranked on the road, at night, in an electric atmosphere.
Michigan football simply has too much talent on the defensive side of the ball.
A defensive line led by the likes of Jaylen Harrell, Mazi Smith, Kris Jenkins, and Mike Morris is a nightmare for a team that’s given up five sacks against subpar defenses through two games.
For Hawaii to win, they’re going to need to find lightning in a bottle and somehow decide to not throw the ball more to the defense than their own team, and cough up the ball more times than they’ve scored rushing.
We don’t expect that to happen.
