3. The offensive line is gonna emphatically repeat as the Joe Moore award winner

This group looked sensational for most of the contest. They kept the quarterbacks clean, despite one sack, and spearheaded a vicious rushing attack. To say that they will win the Joe Moore award again this early is certainly an overreaction though. We still have to see how they will grow as the year progresses.

Coach Harbaugh said in the post-game presser that Ryan Hayes should be back next week, which spells good news for Michigan football and bad news for Hawaii.

Karsen Barnhart should also be good to go whenever he is called upon to enter either versus Hawaii or later on in the season. At full strength, there is no doubt though that they have the capability of being of the premier lines in the country.

Once the Big Ten rolls around is when we’ll really find out how this year’s version will play out. Getting away from the friendly confines of the Big House after a month at home will never be ideal, but what they did on the road last year can be the reason why they can or cannot repeat as Big Ten champions and win the Joe Moore award again.
