The 2022 Michigan Football team will look to claim its first back to back Big Ten titles in years, and hopefully return to the College Football Playoff. The Wolverines journey begins Saturday at home against Colorado State, and here are three X-factors for the Wolverines vs Colorado State.

#3- Blake Corum

I think it’s no surprise Corum ends up on this list. He’s undoubtedly a top 3 RB in the Big Ten, and maybe top 5 in the country.

Corums ability to catch the ball at such an elite level, paired with his innate power and shiftiness makes him a feared player on the field at all times.

Corum is coming off a season where he got almost 1,000 yards rushing and 150 yards receiving. Corum also scored 12 touchdowns last season, including 11 on the ground.

The shifty back is the featured back in this offense and should get the primary carries and touches over Donovan Edwards.

#2- Cade McNamara

Jim Harbaugh has decided to give Cade McNamara and J.J. McCarthy each an opportunity to prove they could be the starter, letting Cade start week 1 and McCarthy start week 2, so the pressure is on for McNamara on Saturday.

Cade knows he needs to come out and play his game Saturday. He tends to lead an efficient offense with little to no turnovers, as well as methodically moving the ball down the field.

Nobody is expecting McNamara to come out slinging and throw the ball for 400 yards and for touchdowns, but he does need to have an arm as an option if Michigan football cannot get the run established.

#1- Ronnie Bell

The long awaited return for the Michigan football wide reciever has finally arrived, as Bell will be suiting up Saturday for the Wolverines for the first time since the Western Michigan game in 2021.

He is looking to once again lead the Wolverines in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. Bell is a possible First-Team All-Big Ten selection and could be a dark horse for the Biletnikoff award.
