The running game goes off

If you haven’t picked up on it already, I’m expecting the offense to have a huge day as in more than 500 yards and I think there’s a good chance the offense scores 50.

Colorado State is going to be better under Jay Norvell, there’s no question about that but a team filled with transfers is probably going to struggle out of the gate. The offense should score some points, but the defense can’t handle Michigan’s offensive line or its running backs.

In all, the Wolverines are going to clear the 250-yard mark in terms of running the football and I see both Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards getting over 100. The only thing stopping them will be a lack of carries but a few explosive runs, which are bound to happen, will get them to the century mark.

CJ Stokes should get some carries along with Tavi Dunlap as the battle for the No. 3 running back job wages on, but we’ll be reminded quickly why Corum and Edwards could be the best running back tandem in college football in 2022.
