Michigan Football: 5 predictions for Wolverines against Colorado State
McCarthy will get his time to shine and he will
Cade is going to start the game against Colorado State but he won’t play the entire time. Harbaugh said that the other QB will play when not starting and McCarthy certainly will.
We have all seen the difference he can make as a runner. That was evident last season and his athleticism is really one of his most underrated attributes.
I don’t think we’ll see him run much on Saturday. McCarthy doesn’t need to take unnecessary hits and while he will probably scramble around some, I expect McCarthy to shine from the pocket.
If he’s going to win this job, McCarthy needs to prove he can be the point man running the offense, just as efficiently as McNamara. He makes more spectacular plays and he’ll make one or two Saturday, but he’ll also have more poise than the McCarthy we remember from 2021.
McCarthy will also throw at least one touchdown, making it three TD tosses for the Wolverines.
