Looking ahead to Week 1 for the Michigan football team, here are five questions the Wolverines must answer.

The wait is almost over. Just a few more days until we finally get to see the newest version of the Michigan Wolverines, the defending Big Ten Champions.

Expectations are rightfully sky-high this year, as Michigan hopes to repeat as Big Ten Champs and go to the College Football Playoff once again.

Team 142 was known as the team that finally got over the hump and will live in Michigan lore forever, but Team 143 has the chance to take the baton and go even further.

Here are five questions facing Michigan football before their game against Colorado State this Saturday.

Will Michigan football be willing to open up their playbook to utilize their overflow of offensive talent?

Michigan has talent out the wazoo on offense this year, but the biggest question will be how all of these players plan to be utilized so the offense can be the most productive it can be.

Michigan is definitely still a run-first team, but with about eight starting-caliber receivers and only four or five starting spots, the Wolverines have some decisions to make on how they will get all of these receivers the football.

That will be the common question amongst fans and the media throughout this year’s football season. It’s definitely a good problem to have though.
