(7.) Northwestern Wildcats

Offensive Line coach: Kurt Anderson (4th season)
Projected line-up: LT Peter Skoronski*, LG Josh Priebe*, C Charlie Schmidt*, RG Ben Wrather, RT Ethan Wiederkehr*

Summary: The Wildcats return four full-time starters from last season, and then have a battle between Ben Wrather and Conrad Rowley, both of whom started two games last year. Went with Wrather because he looked better in the games I watched with him than Rowley.

Skoronski is the headliner of the group. He’s been listed quite frequently as a potential All-American and a potential NFL Draft first-rounder if he can continue his strong play into 2022. Priebe is a player that Michigan pursued as a recruit, and has really turned into a very quality player for the Wildcats under Kurt Anderson.

Schmidt and Wiederkehr started last season as well, and should give this unit a lot of continued stability. I feel like I’ve had to say this in multiple reports I’ve written, but NU’s offense was really hampered by some mediocre QB play.

Not uncommon to see the Wildcats having to feed Evan Hull right into a loaded box. A quality OL with plenty of experience heading into this 2022 season, but an offense plagued by a complete dearth of playmakers at QB and WR will make the Wildcats an interesting team to watch.
