The pass rush

This has been talked about quite a few times, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise, but one of the biggest concerns for Michigan football in 2022 has to be the pass rush.

The Wolverines had two elite rushers last season and even though there are guys on the roster capable of putting together elite production, it won’t match Hutchinson and Ojabo — at least not in terms of overall pressure and impact.

Expecting that just isn’t realistic.

Yet, Mike Morris is going to be a beast. I believe that and I also think the interior pass rush is going to be much improved which will help guys on the edge get home, as well as alleviate some of the pressure.

Guys like Morris, Taylor Upshaw, TJ Guy, Braiden McGregor, Kechaun Bennett, and Derrick Moore are all capable of making an impact, but until we actually see it and see it happen against the best teams in the Big Ten, it’s a lingering concern heading into this season.
