#4.) Wide Receivers coach Ron Bellamy

Bellamy does not have the historic track record the way some others mentioned here do, as he’s just in his second full season as an assistant at the college level, but he’s made a big impact right away, and will only see his stock to continue to rise.

Last recruiting class, Bellamy led the charge on pulling in several of Michigan’s more prominent late additions to the class, the lead recruiter for four-stars Keon Sabb and Zeke Berry, while also flipping wide receiver Amorion Walker from Notre Dame and playing a role in landing Darrius Clemons, who looks like he might contribute as a true freshman.

And in 2023, Bellamy’s been very active as well, playing a role in some of the local recruitments, such as four-star offensive lineman Amir Herring and three-star wide receiver Semaj Morgan. Bellamy has not been at this very long, but the results have been excellent thus far.

#5.) Offensive Line coach Sherrone Moore

If this ranking were being done two years ago, Moore would have been at the very top and there really would not have been much debate. He was the primary recruiter for five-stars like Daxton Hill and J.J. McCarthy, and also for big-time recruitments such as Gio El-Hadi, Braiden McGregor and A.J. Henning.

However, since switching from tight ends coach and ace recruiter to co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach, Moore’s recruiting has plummeted.

The 2022 Wolverines offensive line class was adequate but quite lacking with just two high school recruits and the addition of Andrew Gentry off of a mission.

Gentry was a former top-100 recruit in the class of 2020, but with two years away from the gridiron, it makes the projection a bit less secure. And we all know by now that Michigan’s 2023 offensive line recruitment has been brutal, missing on every single target except four-star in-state lineman Amir Herring.

Moore’s stock as a recruiter has thus taken a significant hit, though it’s clear he still has elite potential somewhere inside of him.
