3-star OL Paul Mubenga

It could and should be a busy month for offensive line commitments as three-star Paul Mubenga out of Georgia could commit to Michigan football this month too.

Mubenga is 6-foot-3, 275 pounds according to his On3 profile, and is ranked 619 overall in the On3 consensus rankings. He visited Texas A&M and LSU in June, as well as Michigan, and the Wolverines have become the clear favorite to land him.

We don’t know exactly when he’s going to announce his commitment but I’d expect it sooner rather than later and likely sometime this month.

3-star DL My’Keil Gardner

Michigan football continues to do a solid job of recruiting out West and that will need to continue, especially now that California is part of the Big Ten conference footprint.

One prospect out of Arizona though should be committing to Michigan in the 2023 class and that’s three-star defensive lineman My’Keil Gardner.

Gardner is ranked in the top 500 overall via the 247 sports composite rankings as well as the On3 consensus rankings which have the 6-foot-3, 287-pounder ranked No. 428 overall.

There was an expert prediction for Oregon in May, and he visited Oregon in June along with Michigan, Cal, Wisconsin, and Texas. But the Wolverines are the team trending with picks and have a 78-percent chance of landing Gardner when he makes his commitment known.

I would think sometime this summer makes sense for the D-lineman and whenever it is, Michigan football should be the winner of this recruitment and hopefully, of all six listed here.
