Final Takeaways

All in all, the roster looks new and improved on paper from what it was last year. The goal in the transfer portal was to add shooting, and Juwan Howard has accomplished that goal (at least on paper). Depending on what happens, Youssef may or may not come to Michigan.

The most important positions are the SG, SF, and PF, with SG being the most important. Kobe needs to be much improved for Michigan basketball to make it back to a Sweet 16 or further.

Terrance Williams might end up starting for Michigan at PF this year, just because at this point he’s likely due for a minutes increase and has earned Juwan’s trust.

Don’t sleep on Joey Baker, as his transfer won’t set the world on fire, but he could be an underrated player that we talk about down the line as a nice pickup for Juwan.

Lastly, I know we say this every year, but this year has the potential to be Michigan’s deepest and best rotation in a very long time, so we love to see that. The college basketball season can’t get here soon enough!
