Projecting what Michigan basketball’s starting lineup and rotation could look like next season.

Unless Michigan basketball gets a surprise commitment from a guy like Emoni Bates or somebody else (Youssef Khayat anybody?), the roster is set.

Honestly, having at least one available scholarship open is important, as it allows Michigan to get one more recruit than they normally would, or it allows for flexibility to add a transfer in the offseason if need be.

If Michigan basketball could get a great international prospect to commit, all of that logic goes out the window. Keep raising the ceiling of this team.

I will say though, that in the past few seasons, all the scholarships have been allotted, and it has made it more difficult to project the roster attrition and open scholarships for the following year.

I wrote an article a few weeks ago previewing Michigan’s rotation before any more transfers would come in just to give you a general idea of what the rotation would look like.

Well, now that Joey Baker is transferring in, and possibly Khayat, let’s take a look at the starting lineup and possible rotations.

Starting Lineup

PG: Jaelin Llewellyn

SG: Kobe Bufkin

SF: Jett Howard

PF: Terrance Williams II/Youssef Khayat

C: Hunter Dickinson

Although I have these guys as the starters, the only sure-fire starters are Jaelin Llewellyn and Hunter Dickinson. The rest is purely speculation.

Frankie Collins transferred out for a reason, as his role with the team would’ve been greatly reduced had been stayed since Jaelin transferred in, and Dickinson is obviously the other starter.
