Deep ties to Michigan football

EJ Holland of The Wolverine has been all over Dante Moore’s recruitment from day one and he’s been getting more optimistic. He also talked to Donovan Edwards this week who had a similar recruitment to Moore.

Edwards is a guy that considered Ohio State, Georgia, and others. The Buckeyes certainly seemed to lead at one point before taking another running back and Michigan won out by staying the course.

It seems like that could happen with Dante More too. Michigan has been recruiting him since he was in middle school when Jim Harbaugh first offered him.

Sure, Dante might have had concerns about Harbaugh going to the NFL, but Jim should be able to alleviate those. He’s also been the head coach for seven years. He’s not going anywhere.

Edwards and Will Johnson, the top two players from the previous classes, at least the most well-known, both wound up at Michigan after strongly considering others and Dante has ties to those guys and others on the roster.

Edwards also spent time with Moore on his recent visit to Michigan and spoke the truth to Moore about the program according to Holland:

He has talked about relationships a lot in his recruitment and even guys like QB coach Matt Weiss have made a strong effort to build that, as well as Sherrone Moore. Harbaugh needs to close but there’s a reason Dante called Michigan his “day ones.”

The Wolverines have been there since day one. Texas A&M, Oregon, and LSU, the other top contenders along with the Irish, haven’t been and I think that’s a pretty big advantage for the Wolverines heading down the stretch of this recruitment.
