Should Michigan Football be on commitment watch this weekend?
By Kyler Kregel
3* OT Evan Link (D.C.)
Another potential tackle, as Link comes in at about 6’6 as well. Michigan appears to be showing some clarity on its OL board here, prioritizing official visits from Link, Howland, Terek, and Mubenga this weekend. While Michigan will still be fighting for some higher ranked guys like four-star OT Samsom Okunlola four-star OT Charles Jaguash and five-star OT Kadyn Proctor, it looks like Michigan is still staying active and making plays for some of these other recruits as well, all of whom have solid frames and quality athleticism, making them intriguing takes for Sherrone to develop.
Link, in particular, holds offers from some other Power 5 programs such as Kentucky, Boston College, Stanford, Tennessee, and Penn State amongst others.
3* DE/TE Collins Archeampong (CA)
Listed by 247Sports as an athlete, the 6’7, 230 lbs. Archeampong is likely going to suit up as either a tight end or pass rusher at the next level. He originally cut his list to a top-6, but some interest from programs like LSU, Florida, and Texas has simply expanded his top group.
LSU and USC appear to be the two biggest threats here, as the Tigers hosted him for an official visit this past weekend, and USC has been making much more noise in recruiting since the hire of Lincoln Riley.
Archeampong has visited the Wolverines before but will be part of a bigger recruiting weekend this time around. He originally announced a commitment date in July, so a strong impression on him before he heads down to Texas and Florida for remaining official visits is very important.
